Asbestos Removal Licence
Licensed to remove asbestos: Class A covers friable, Class B covers non-friable. Licensed removal is a legal requirement above the regulated threshold.
Legally required before this work can be done.
How to check it yourself
WorkSafe New Zealand publishes a public search. Look up the name or the number a business gave you. You do not need TCH, or an account, to do it.
Open the Asbestos A/B register →What a TCH badge adds
When a member claims this, someone at TCH checks it against the source and stamps the date. The badge shows that date and expires after 12 months, so it stops claiming anything once it ages out. Anything a business has only told us stays marked self-declared.
